Dancing was something I always wanted to do but honestly felt embarrassed when out on the dance floor. My wife at the time (deceased) would ask me to dance but I just could not accommodate her. Sure, I'd get out there and shuffle my feet to slow dance occasionally, but those moments were far and few between. Eventually she accepted that the great fun of dancing was not in the cards for her. Then I met Susan (aka Boo) who absolutely loved to dance. I was 64 years old at that time! I decided to attempt learning a few very basic simple dance steps. After a little research I choose the box step, Arizona two step & salsa step. I would practice on my patio because I could see my reflection in the double doors. These steps were so easy it didn't take long for me to get a feel for them. Shortly thereafter Susan & I went to a live music venue with a dance floor. It took a little time to match the steps to the beat of the music but I was dancing! Much more important Susan was dancing and having fun. Next, I learned the single twirl and the rest is history.
SPECIAL NOTE: Early on Susan told me, "if men only realized how in demand a man who can dance is they would all learn to dance quickly." Typically, there are 15 gals per each guy at dance venues.
